Have asked Lieen to help me buy this back from US. Her nick is ‘miss bulky’ as its really bulkier than I thought. With the same no of cards that I used to put in my Prada purse, it look like it’s carrying twice the no of cards. I also regretted getting the camel colour as it will get dirty v easily, should have stick to choice of black instead…

Haiz. Still have to use it, though the price is cheaper than for me to buy in Singapore, but it’s still few hundred bucks. Sob. :(

Luckily I still have a cutey Hello Kitty accessory from Lieen. Not sure what to do with it though, too cute to hang it on my bag or purse. It’s sitting on my display shelf at home for the time being. Gee.

Wedding Bells Ringing February 22, 2007

Finally, after 10 years of courtship, Lieen has registered with Phil in US today! I was kinda surprised at the news though she did mentioned casually that she might get married during this trip. It still took me a while to react and understood her sms when she say she got ‘registered this afternoon’. I was like, hmm register for what? Laptop repair, game reload account or… and then it striked me! Oh mine, I was so happy for her that I almost teared… cause this couple have gone through rough patches and manage to survive through it.

Anyway, dearest, congrats if you are reading this. I am sure you will have a good marriage ahead! <Huggie> :)

Tiring CNY 2007 February 20, 2007

It’s been one of the most tiring CNY for me this year. Been visiting & entertaining non-stop from lunar new year eve till today (with our family members and relatives pressurizing us on when we will be having our kids, argh). Breakdown of the past few days’ events as follows:

New Year Eve – went to hubby’s aunt place for dinner, then back to his parents’ place to prepare for praying session. Reach home at close to 2am.

1st Day – went to hubby’s aunt place for visiting, then went to two temples under the hot sun. Almost fainted at the end of the session.

2nd Day – went back to my mum’s place then proceed to my sis’ place. Left at around 8pm.

3rd Day – colleagues, ex-colleagues and my family came to my place for visiting at different timing. My family just left at 8 plus.

Feeling v exhausted now. Think I should go to bed right after posting this blog. Tomorrow is another working day!

Incident One

Javier and Travis were talking loudly while eating instant noodles.

My hubby: ” 吃饭的时候不要讲话.”

Javier: “我没有在吃饭啊!”

My hubby: (‘_’)”

Incident Two

Travis was playing his toy when Javier went to him with some sweets.

Javier: “你要吃吗?”

Travis with his mouth wide open: “放进嘴巴啦!”

My hubby and me: >.<

Straight, but not so Straight February 8, 2007

I have always like a simple and easy-to-maintain hairstyle, so straight hair fits me the best. However, the sight of even the slightest curly hair irritates me and thus a person with fine and little hair like me was thrilled with the introduction of soft rebonding – less chemical compared to rebonding and it doesn’t make your hair look so flat.

I tried my first soft rebond about a year ago and the effect lasted for about a year before it starts to wear off. Just when I intend to go back to Reds to do the soft rebond again (in view of the coming new year), my stylist was fully booked. So I had to go another stylist that I usually cut my hair at. I have not tried her other services other than haircut as the products bring in by her shop are all Japanese products and the prices are quite steep. But since New Year is drawing near, I just thought of giving it a shot.

It turned out to be a regret – not because the service was bad, but due to the fact that Japanese soft rebond uses a milder cream and the effect is not as good as the cream used at Red. I should have thought of that as Japanese girls usually like curly hair, so how fantastic could their straightening product be. Anyway, I spent a bomb with still wavy hair at the end of the day and the need to go to Reds next month to get my ‘perfect’ hairstyle. I wonder how broke I can get at the rate I am spending.

Felt so guilty, I was so busy last week till I forgot all about Mathew’s birthday. I wonder if he called me on Thurs to ask me on some bus route, just to remind me of that… Haiz.

Anyway, belated happy birthday to you (if you are reading this). I will make up to you by giving you a bigger ang poh for new year k? Study hard and have a good year ahead. :)

Congrats to Justin and Val who has finally settled down after 11 years of courtship!

The wedding at Rendezvous Hotel was a surprising one. Firstly, it’s more like a talkshow than a wedding, with the emcee talking and performing throughout the night. (FYI the emcee is the one who posed as Fortune God on TV) Secondly, the couple have invited Zhang Kefan, the Taiwanese singer who used to be part of the boy group – Hong Hai Er, to perform. I must say he really has a good voice as it sounds nice even with a sound system that is not meant for concert or performance.

Anyway, me and my hubby had a pretty good time. All the best once again to the newly wed.
