It’s now 1.18am and I have only just reached home from work… my dark circles are getting obvious and little bumps are popping out on my forehead. My body is screaming for a break with the many late nights. My goodness, I still have a whole long list of items to rush in the next one week, my immune system better ‘buck up’ till the BIG DAY on 12 April. Pray hard.

High Tea at Mariott March 18, 2007

Went for high tea at Mariott with Iris yesterday… the spread is not exactly fantastic though it’s better than the local spread that’s offered at other hotels. It’s an international buffet that comprises of food like sushi, prawn, chinese noodles, dim sum, indian curry, pastries, cake, soup etc. All tasted ok but none left a deep impression. The price is at $33+++ if you are keen to try.

Very proud of myself for doing something that may seem ordinary to all – I took train rides for both the to and fro journey. Further, I was carrying a bag of towels and magazines that weigh about 2.5kg on my return journey. Big accomplishment for me. :)

P.S: My PT maid came one hour plus late again today. I told her to be more punctual and she ended up telling my hubby she will not come from next week onwards. I am going to file complaint to the agency and make sure they get me better candidate the next round. Argh.

I have made another friend of mine wait for 2 hours again yesterday. And this time it’s worse cause my friend is so tired that she decided to head home and meet me another day though I was already on the way there.  Haiz. All because I was held back to do some impt letter writing on both occasions. Felt SOOOOOO bad. I think I better dont fix any appt lately as I might be held back again due to the piling work.

If you are reading this Iris, my sincere apology for the 4th time. Meal on me the next time we meet ya?

P.S: I am downloading Kangxi from youtube now though I have SCV. Due to the OT lately, I cant even reach home at 9pm sharp to watch it. Argh.

After about 2 years of ‘deliberation’ and consideration of all the free gifts that we deemed unsuitable for us, we finally subscribe to cabletv this evening. We signed up for the 3 basic groups (entertainment, chinese infotainment, chinese entertainment) and 3 add-on asia channels (55, 59, 62) at cost of S$39.90.

There were 2 promo to choose from – 2 years plan with free portable LG dvd player or 1 year plan with S$10 discount off subscription for 12 months. Needless to say, we picked the 1 year plan, which reduces our monthly subscription to S$29.90 (exclude further discount if we subscribe to all 3 services under starhub which we already registered for 2 OR via reward points redemption).

Wonder if I should switch from channel 59 (cinemax) to 61 (celestial movies)? Nevertheless, can finally catch my favourite taiwan variety shows. Yeappie! :)

Was in a lazy mood today and thus surfed around to check out on delivery services. Found this site www.dabao.sg and got to know that they actually help their customers to purchase local delights from various coffee shops/hawker and deliver right to your doorstep. All these convenience of course doesnt come free. I ordered a medium carrot cake (S$7), a medium claypot rice (S$12, but it’s in the size of a usual one-person portion that would have cost only S$3)  and a beancurb (S$3). With an additional S$2 delivery charge, I spent S$24 and have to wait for 2 hours before the food came though they mentioned that delivery would be in 60 mins time.

The food are actually quite nice as they claim to buy from the popular stalls but for the amt of waiting time and the steep price (twice the usual price), I dont think it’s worth it. However, for those who are keen, feel free to check out their services here.

Isn’t this a darling? I have lowered my search criteria from a flip phone, to a slide phone and now to a normal phone.

But just when I thought I have found a phone cute enough with a high reso cam of 3 mega-pixels that fits my bill, I realize one BIG function missing from this phone – music player. It only allows polyphonic ringing tone and not MP3. I hope I am wrong in terms of the specs I got from the web.

Anyway, this phone is not available yet. It’s stated to be released in Feb 2007 on a US site, so hopefully it will be available in SG soon. Crossing my finger that the price is not to steep.

For more information on it’s specs and features, read on. ( Source: www.gsmarena.com)

So so sorry to lieen. She waited for me a whole 2 hours as I was SUPER late, due to some last min ICA matters after a phone call from boss. By the time I reached orchard, it was already 8.30pm, in time only for dinner and nothing else. Given her NICE nature, she just gave me a tired look and a big smile. So guilty…

P.S: Hope my ‘free labour’ to carry your lappy, nice meal and cab ride help to appease you. :) Thanks pal.

Hmm, where should I start… recap for myself…

Update1 – stupid sis locked her bedroom key in the room and called me when I was still in bed at 8am. Had to rush all the way to Jurong to deliver the house keys to her and was late for work by a whole hour. Have told her to leave my keys at my brother’s place (which is only next block) in case this kind of incident happen again for the 3rd time. Wouldnt have the energy to keep rushing from punggol to jurong just to pass her keys.

Update 2 – SL is finally a woman in love. From friends to lovers – the change in feelings must have been exciting. Left with C now. Must pair her with another C soon. :)

Update 3 – Happy birthday to Wai Cheng who have turned 21 today. Finally an adult and is able to watch a R rated movie legally. The next move is to get a boyfriend now.

Update 4 – Went for a dinner session with some visitors from Taiwan Universities today at Safra, Pioneer Spring Restaurant. Their food are v nice as usual….

Update 5 – Checked out N73 today, the key pads are too small and near which makes it hard to type. Haiz, got to continue sourcing again… camera phone… where are you?

Busy busy day, did so many things, wow.

Just before my gathering with my curtin classmates yesterday, receives news from R that she is preggie. And last Fri, zhu zhu also told me that she is preggie. My goodness, all of a sudden, people around me are either giving birth or getting preggie. I wonder if it’s a sign to exert additional pressure on me. Wahaha! Anyway, still feel happy for them and can’t deny the fact that I am getting old. Before I know it, guess my common topic with friends would be which schools our kids are in, how well they fare in exam etc. Disgusting & boring isnt it?

Super tired now… went for MJ session at R place yesterday. Btw, its a MJ session with the 4 of them playing and me sitting by the side watching tv. Told me it will take 1.5 hours to play one round and they ended up playing for 2.5 hours instead. By the time they finished, it was already 12.30 am and I had already fallen asleep on the couch. So woke up in a zombie state to take a cab home. zzzz…..

P.S: I am seriously wanting to get a high reso camera phone so that I can take lotsa pictures and post on my blog as and when I like. Not like now, no camera = no pic. :(

It’s my sister Kate’s wedding today. Hmm, think I have known her for about 16 years… time flies. Very happy to see that she is finally ’sold’. Ha. Anyway, she is moving to Punggol in a month’s time, so we will soon be ‘neighbours’ by a few blocks.

Got her this cute beary couple and a cutey card for her wedding party. Hope she likes it.

Side episode – Booked for 2 cabs, waited half an hour at the lobby and both didnt turn up. Had to hitch a ride from James to Thomson Plaza and catch a cab from there. I knocked off at 6.30pm and managed to only reach the far and hard-to-find Changi chalet at 8.30pm (2 hours of waiting and travelling!). Goodness, it’s really hardwork to send my wedding wishes to her.
