After a 3 hour haircut session last night, I went to meet my hubby and his friend at one of the pub (Marrakesh) at Clarke Quay. I havent been to a pub for donkey years and the music was deafening when I first enter the place. Well, it’s not a place where you can dance, so we just sat there to eat, chat and drink (I took a sip of my hubby’s beer). They have this cute water pipe on every table that you can take the tube to suck the air and when you exhale, there is smoke coming out from your mouth. Not sure what’s that for, but pretty innovative.

As my hubby was feeling drunk after the session, his friend suggested that we move on to another quieter Korean pub (K-Cool) at Duxton Road where they serve hot soup that can help make ‘drunkens’ feel better and at the same time, to enjoy the Korean Soju. Wow, they really serve delicious Kimchi soup (drool at the thought of it) but the Soju is so bitter and hot! I took a few sips of it, luckily no rashes the next day.

We only left at about 2am as his friend lost his phone in the cab while we travel from Clarke Quay to Duxton. We managed to contact the taxi driver and waited for him to come and return the phone till then. A tiring and ‘exciting’ night for me. *yawn*

Ho… busy day. There was a student committee briefing session in the morning. This new batch of student commitee members (about 30 of them) are pretty interesting and fun-loving. Many could speak good English too. I was so engrossed in the conversation with them that we ended at about 1.30pm.

Threafter, went to AMK hub (for the 1st time!) and KTV (after a long long time). Argh, havent been singing for too long and my singing sucks now, sob. Insisted that my hubby buy me a KTV system at the end of the year for me to practise singing at home, gee. Guess my neighbours would have to ’suffer’ by then. :P

Yeappie, I am going for a cruise in June! Though I find it pretty expensive (about S$1,300 for 2 pax of 2 nights) but since I have never been to a cruise before, my hubby has persuaded me to give it a try. Hope the balcony view and the ‘red carpet’ is worth the high price. Looking forwarding to it. :D

Another event organised by our H&T students tonight. The performance is very much better than the one done on last Friday. Probably it’s because we have more EASB Idols’ involvement this round. The hosts are very humorous and this team is more detailed in their planning such as putting candle decoration on stage and bringing their own ‘disco lights’. I left during the break and did not catch the ‘cat-walk’ performance in the 2nd half. Wonder if it’s nice…

Bumped into Kate when I was at Raffles Place yesterday and was invited to her partially done-up place. Gee. Her flat is just opposite to mine, so near! Hmm, a very cosy place and the house structure is almost identical to mine. And I was surprised to hear that a bed can cost $3,000+, can’t imagine myself spending that kind of money on a bed. Anyway, it’s good to have a buddy living close by. Can hang out together pretty often now!

This is Princess Cheryl. Cute isn’t it? She is our niece (daughter of hubby’s sister), so chubby and pretty. Hope I can have such a pretty daughter too. ;)

Havent catch a show for a long long time. Just went to watch Spiderman 3 today, under the strong recommendation of a few friends. Well, more monsters and animations which is pretty interesting but not a movie that will leave much after thoughts. If you are after fantasy movies, can still go for it.

I am pretty interested in Fantastic 4 & Transformer that are upcoming though… :P

That’s the name of the event organized by our students from the F&B class last night. I must say it seems pretty impressive with the way they layout the canteen and with all of them in smart uniform. But being amateur and the first time to plan an event, there are definitely shortcomings. such as:

  • Sequence and hosting of performance not well prepared.
  • Insufficient food ordered (I only took 1 fishball and 1 dumpling, that’s all. Basically no dinner at all.)

Anyway they have put in a lot of effort within such a short timeframe. Must give due credits to the lecturer, HOS and students for their hardwork. :)

Just when I have almost gave up looking for a phone that I love, I chanced upon this PERFECT phone today. My hubby was in high spirit to get a new phone and suggested that we go Seng Kang for dinner. M1 was our 2nd stop after Starhub and this phone caught my attn immediately when I screened through the many display models. I was pleasantly surprised as I have never seen this phone on the samsung site despite my numerous surfing and I nearly jumped with joy when I hear that it comes with the 3.2 mega-pixel camera that I am looking for!

FYI, this is a very very new model and is currently ONLY carried by M1. We called the starhub centre and confirm that all starhub centres don’t carry this at this moment. According to the M1 service staff, this phone has reached their store for only one week with limited stocks (6 sets) and we managed to buy the last 2 sets. My hubby’s set was even a open set though it’s brand new.

Some key features of the phone are as follows:

  • 3.2 Megapixel Camera (Half Shutter, Auto Focus, Flash)
  • 60MB + MicroSD
  • Video Recording (MPEG4, H.263)
  • Music Player (MP3, AAC, AAC+, E-AAC+, WMA)
  • Window Media DRM
  • Bluetooth v2.0, USB 2.0
  • FM Radio
  • TV-output
  • Document viewer, offline mode
  • uGo, uTrack, Privacy Look
  • Namecard Recognition

Pricing: S$800+ (without line), S$468 (with 21 months new contract), S$568 (if you have a M1 line that has completed only 12 out of a 18/21 months contract and wish to upgrade).

P.S: The function keys on the cover are touch-screen keys. Kinda sensitive and need some getting use to. Guess its the same issue faced by LG Chocolate users.
