Yeah, 2 months old le… time flies… His weight has shot to 4.2kg, twice his weight at birth. PD commented that others normally doubled their weight at 4 months, but my little prince can’t wait that long. It’s no surprise as he is eating twice the amt of normal babies and I had to feed him 120ml like every 2.5 hours. He is learning to smile at people and is sleeping lesser hours during the daytime le, doesn’t allow me to rest at all. Fortunately or unfortunately, I will have to return to work in a week’s time. Think will miss him dearly… He is so CUTE!
New Eyes May 27, 2008

Been thinking about it for years and finally decided to go for it during my maternity so that I need not wear glasses to work before the operations. Had the intralase ops on 22 May, till date it’s 6 days already. My right eye is already prefect vision at 6/6 while my left eye is still taking sometime to recover… still a little hazy and unable to focus at times. According to doc, it will take about a month for the eyes to stablize and recover fully… guess I should not strain them too much till then.
Anyway, it’s a wonderful feeling waking up to be able to see everything clearly without the need to put on any contact lens or to have the stupid glasses irritating my nose bridge. For those who have thought about doing the ops but have not done it, GO FOR IT!
If you need a recommendation, I had mine done at Parkway Eye Centre by a very experienced doc, Dr. Lee Hung Ming. He is good and friendly. You can have the ops done just a few days after the screening which is very fast, compared to other places like NEC which may take one month before you can have your appt fixed. The current charges are as follows (before GST):
- Pre-screening – S$187
- Customized intralase (blade free) – S$2,171 per eye
- Post op pack – S$85
- Post-op reviews – S$70 – S$100 each time (4 times)
Time to go… Need to rest my eyes…

Visited Kidslink’s new branch at Punggol Plaza yesterday as Keven as down with flu and his usual PD is on leave. There is not a single soul at the clinic and we don’t even have to wait for long. We were pretty surprised as there are always long queue at Kid’s Clinic. Anyway, while surfing the forum, realized that Keven’s PD – Dr Allyson Tan is actually quite popular and has received many good feedbacks from other mothers. So unless she is not available, then we will prob head to Kidslink that is near home…
No Voice May 16, 2008

Poor Keven, due to his frequent screaming (he doesnt know how to cry or whine, he scream whenever he wants food or attention), he has lost his voice since yesterday. All he can do is to whine softly now. Probably his voice cord is trying to teach him how to whine. I have been staying by his side to attend to him in the first instance so that he doesnt have to cry too long. Hope it doesnt worsen…
P.S: Thank goodness that my hubby has managed to get the electric swing (yao lan) yesterday. At least I dont have to stay by swing and rock him non-stop. My arms going to get mascular in no time.
Hard Stools May 4, 2008

He has been crying for no good reason during feeds… We were wondering why he throws tantrums for no reason. Just noted today while cleaning him that he cries madly when passing motion. It’s then we realize that his stools are too hard and he felt painful when pooing each time. Poor him, we were then scolding him when he was making noises each time, didnt even know he is in pain (heart pain). Lousy parents. Hope the water in between feeds help…

It’s now 11.58pm… we are waiting for Keven to wake up to feed him before we can catch a fast sleep for an hour plus before the next feed. I am starting to miss my confinement lady. At least I get a good night rest and also an extra hand during the daytime with her around. My back is aching like mad now as I had been taking of naughty Keven since morning till now… had to keep bending and hunching when carrying, feeding and bathing him etc. Planning to get a fisherprice swing from taka tomorrow. Hope we can get one that can help settle him so that he doesn’t need us to carry/sway him so often.
